Broken Cisterns

Craig’s family, friends, and fans would agree that he gave love, joy and kindness to all.

We don’t grow more empty by giving ourselves away in service to God. In no way! The more we give, the more we are filled. The more we sacrifice, the more like Jesus we become. We don’t become impoverished by giving away love, joy, kindness, and blessings. We can only grow richer by giving those things away. God’s supply of His riches and grace are limitless. He must be our source – the fountain of living waters.

Jeremiah 2:13 (NIV) “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

Thanks to Aaron Matthews, Craig Strickland Foundation Director and Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Lowell Arkansas for his contribution to this entry.
